| Anubis Spire is a guitar heavy progressive rock/world
fusion band with a decidedly middle eastern vibe. Their debut album,
Old Lions (in the world of snarling sheep) is a mostly instrumental
offering (4 vocal tunes) that offers over 65 minutes of intense guitar
driven rock that prompted one reviewer to describe their sound as, "A
fistfight between Jimi Hendrix and John McLaughlin at the base of the
great pyramid!"
